Don’t be an asshole.

See Rule 1.
- OPs mom is fairly game
- There are no real rules about posting
- There are no real rules about moderation either - enjoy your ban

Do what you want bro who gives a fuck
No.
reddiquette was always a joke, and it only kind of made sense when reddit was a homogeneous userbase of young nerds who were actually idealistic. once reddit became a target for interest groups, marketers, and etc redditique was just virtue signalling/plausible deniability.
any moral code falls apart as soon you have participants who are willing to exploit it rather than honor it.
the base code of redditiquttee was ‘remember the human’, well you can’t exactly do that if your belief-set active denies the humanity of other people, which is how most average folks operate, and typically folks are only capable of abstract respect for other people who share their pre-existing biases and beliefs, which is precisely why reddit worked well when it was a bunch of 20/30 something college-educated male techie libertarians, but once it diversified that quickly fell apart. in a diverse environment people won’t disagree with your ideas, they will disagree with your existence.
like colleges have honor codes, and those work mostly because the population of a college is self-selected and mostly demographically homogeneous, but if you are visibly distinct from other students at the college, the honor code won’t apply to you.
i have upvoted your comment, thanks
And I have upvoted your comment.
Hmm.
and my axe.
and this chair, I need the chair
Common decency should come naturally from the ones inclined that way and the rest don’t probably care about such lemmiquette.
lemmiquette sounds like something from /c/cooking
We are, and there’s no way to prevent it. Writing it out wouldn’t help much, because people will find ways to violate the spirit of the law while following its letter, but who you talk to and how, who mods and how, who follows or blocks whom, all of these things feed into the etiquette of the ecosystem. We are, with every interaction, showing each other what is and is not tolerated.
If you ask me this would be a waste of resources.
oh okay, because nobody would agree on it
I’d argue it already does
Let’s just use netiguette.
Best I can do is a two day old baguette.
I have three days of dirty socks, how much of that baguette can I get?
What the hell am I supposed to do with two socks?
Cut them lengthwise and sew them into a towel. Then you have a towel.
You got yourself a deal!
Stupid autocorrect.
