Most likely he dictates this shit to his social media handler on the jail phone. That’s assuming these messages are even coming from him.

Screens keep prisoners mollified, cell phones keep prisons from nickle and diming prisoners. Idk if this is tate or his lawyer or whatever posting this.

The only reason not to give people cell phones is if their crime was facilitated with one or if they were being egged on to commit crimes online/or by persons they know.

The risk is of course that the outside world can manipulate things in in the prison

Pretty sure a lot of prisons allow computers and phones even in the US so he probably is just allowed a phone or computer with Internet access. Frankly given the nature of this pissbags crimes I am of the opinion such privileges should be revoked. Mind I am also of the opinion he should be be made a paraplegic and forced to crawl all along the 15 without any clothes, mind you it’s a solid 90+ where I am in California so it’s probably a lot worse on most of the freeway.

Fuck Andrew Tate, but also, fuck condoning the mistreatment of any imprisoned person. I work with folks coming out of prison and it is incredibly common for them to be forced to drink unsafe water and the health effects follow them for years. No one should have to live like that.

I don’t believe anything he says. In another tweet he claimed that he had no contact with the outside world. The man is posting to the world on a public platform. He clearly has internet access and contact.

Possibly, but typically, when someone is incarcerated and posting online, they do so via an intermediary such as their attorney or a family member. One has to imagine that Tate is not managing his own social media presence even when he’s not locked up. I have no idea if that post accurately reflects the conditions he’s being held under, but I do know that it accurately reflects the conditions of millions of incarcerated people in the U.S., which is fucked and should be changed.

Tate still lied about having contact. If he didn’t have any contact, then someone wouldn’t have been able to post his words for him. He made similar posts when he was arrested in Romania. This is just a tactic for attention. Hes an abuser trying to make everyone think he’s a victim.

What’s your point? My original post started with “Fuck Andrew Tate.” I agree that he’s an abuser. It doesn’t change the fact that inhumane conditions are rife through our carceral system. How is the idea that literally everyone should have clean water controversial?

Because when it eventually comes out that he is lying his ass off for internet clout about how poorly treated he is being in prison (he has money and generally agrees with our administration - those people rarely are seeing the worst our prison system has to offer), it will make it look like our prisons treat everyone well and anyone else complaining is just trying to get attention, just like this guy.

It makes it so much harder for people actually in shitty prison conditions to get anyone to believe them, even if they have evidence it will get brushed off as exaggeration or fabricated by so many more people because “look at what happened to Andrew Tate, he claimed the same thing and then we found out he was in a room nicer than any hotel I’ve stayed at with his phone and internet access” (making a lot of assumptions there, hopefully it isn’t that, but it’s the stereotype for rich people in prison).

It is what got us into this mess, giving the gentle, carebear treatment to complete monsters, while they take another shot at us.

Sometimes, you need to be old testament with them, so they know and fear justice.

They just see mercy as weakness

It’s still prison, I’m not saying to hand him victims (in fact part of what I’m saying is prisons should stop handing victims to rapists). I’m saying he should have tolerable food, clean water, exercise, social interaction, and other basic necessities while we attempt to make a human out of him after he’s convicted. Currently he’s not even convicted

I don’t think you understand the sheer magnitude of what these monsters did.

I would do anything to make sure that sort of stuff never happens again.

I don’t think you understand how systems of institutuonsl violence function. When prisons are made worse the in group becomes less and less likely to be sent there. If we make prisons into little hells, we don’t get less violent sociopaths, they just become prison guards

100% agree with you but he probably found a way to weasel his way out of unfair treatment with bribes and he is just trying to farm empathy points by lying.

Also I am still a bit on the fence about how to treat people who have clearly broken the social contract. He is a person who believes that women should be denied many rights given to men. In such a situation it is not unfair to expect that he is not entitled to enjoy the rights of the contract he clearly violates. The only fact that keeps me advocating for this is that I know such treatment in prisons effect everyone irregardless of their crime. But in an ideal situation where only people like Tate was subjected to these treatments I would be 100% ok. Unfortunately such a world can not exist and I have to then defend the rights of this stupid asshole.

If this is legit the conditions that he is in, that is extremely worrying. Prisoners should not be denied such basic rights and any nation that treats prisoners this way should be ashamed (and held accountable).

    1. Why the fuck does he have twitter access? I get monitored phone calls but its lookin like dude had a phone smuggled in his ass.
    2. I know people are saying he shouldn’t be mistreated but honestly man, paradox of tolerance. You cannot fix people this far gone, he’s proven continuously he doesn’t care about society, only abusing others in the most sociopathic ways possible. Simply put, this is what evil looks like. People think its the devil or demons (which sure, maybe, whatever) but this type of person is what books have been written about throughout history.

Put a racist misogynist in US justice system for a few days, and they suddenly care about the treatment of those they gleefully disparaged for years. How the turntables. Give him a few weeks and maybe he’ll reconsider his perspective a tiny bit (probably not, but it’s worth a try).

Aww, did they jail you in Flint, Andrew? No one gives a fuck about you. You are not deserving of special treatment. So unless you are advocating for improving conditions for every inmate, we don’t care. Plenty of normal people who aren’t rapists have to deal with conditions that bad or worse.
