Playboy founder Hugh Hefner notified the FBI of Jeffrey Epstein and reported that a Playmate was sexually abused and trafficked by the late financier, according to new court documents reported this week.

The FBI reportedly ignored several of Hefner’s tips about Epstein for 15 years, according to NewsNation.

Court records show that Audra Christiansen, a former Playboy Playmate, told Hefner in 2005 that she was an Epstein survivor and asked Hefner to contact the FBI. She suggested that authorities would be more likely to take his call over hers because of his status.

Hefner died in 2017 at age 91.

Miami Herald reporter Julie K. Brown, in her Substack, reported on the legal complaint, which was filed by 34 Epstein survivors against the United States in the Southern District of Florida.

In the court document, the FBI agreed to assist Christiansen and investigate her claims. But Christiansen apparently did not hear from the FBI until October 2020.

“For about fifteen years, the FBI did not investigate Ms. Christiansen’s tips or follow up on her allegations,” according to the court documents.

The documents revealed that Christiansen met the late convicted child sex offender, and “before she knew it she was naked and raped by Epstein” and “trafficked for 10 years.”

“The complaint alleges the FBI did not investigate the model’s claim and by not doing ‘violated mandatory policies and protocols requiring it to investigate claims, like Ms. Christiansen’s, of child sexual abuse and trafficking’ and ‘failing to investigate credible tips, such as Ms. Christiansen’s allegations, the FBI created a foreseeable zone of risk to future victims of Epstein’s sex trafficking enterprise, including Plaintiffs,’” NewsNation reported.

I am grinding the balls and anus, which are also gross and emit fluids, just to a different degree. Up above they mentioned women may wear underwear if they’re also wearing menstrual pads. I’m trying to find out if that is because the underwear keeps the pad in place better, or if it is as an additional layer for leakage. In the second case, if some people wear underwear as a barrier for body fluids, despite the chafing, that is what I’m trying to ascertain.

I think I’ll have to disagree with you because underwear does make a big difference for other clothes, so why wouldn’t it help with bike shorts?

You’re going to have some particles from the anus and urethra that leak out while you ride, making your butt smell like ass. They can either be absorbed by the (relatively cheaper and easier to wash) underwear, or the expensive padded bike shorts. The shorts will still get sweaty and get washed after every ride, but they’ll have less skin and body fluid particles in them.

I get that most people can’t wear underwear underneath because of the added friction. Still stands to reason that if this wasn’t an issue, the underwear would help protect the padded bike shorts.

My context is the whole comment chain, including the original question. I’m trying to make an informed descision and see what other people do, vagina-having, or no.

Bike shorts are close fitting like underwear anyway, except that they’re also really expensive, so it is not comparable to going commando in my mind. As other people in the comments have said, bike shorts tend to get soaked with sweat also, so they’re going to be damp either way, though they are a wicking material. The commenter mentioned wearing underwear over pads or menstrual products, which I’m still trying to understand if the underwear is as a protective barrier, if it helps the pad stay in place better, or both. Because as a protective layer to contain leaks, it is similar to what I’m trying to do.

I’m interested in protecting my shorts from body fluids to help them last longer, which is different from the “feeling uncomfortable” and “visibly showing” part of what you’re saying, so I am seeing the difference in what you’re saying. It might be worth it to someone for those reasons, regardless of protecting the shorts.

Since you don’t wear padded bike shorts though, I still haven’t heard first hand if anyone makes a trade off between the advantages of wearing underwear under them, vs. the friction cost.

I am not sure what you mean by “tube”. My seat has minimal padding and is pretty firm. All the bike people I’ve ever met have told me to never get the padded seat, always get the padded shorts.
