The biggest thing to me is that the Soviets congratulated us on it.
The Soviet Union choosing to go along with the fake moon landing instead of calling the USA out is the absolute dumbest part of the whole thing.

He spoke with the thickest African / Caribbean accent I’ve ever heard.
After 3 classes I found myself paying the most attention I’d ever paid trying to just understand his words.
Aced his class, I auck at math and school generally, but the struggle to understand his words turned into “understanding his words”
This is a fairly common government furnished equipment issue lmao

You can purchase it.
They do not keep it on the table.
The guy will however come up to you all sketchy like and ask if you like spicy, then bring you a ramekin for your food and let you know you can take a jar home.
Lots of folks take the bait then struggle in their booth. Dinner and entertainment.

Years ago my brother worked for the Obama administration and had a fairly unrestricted access to the Capitol Building.
He took us on a tour.
Every time an actual tour group would come by he’d loudly point at a door and say “and this is where the moon landing was filmed”
idk how many people left that day with a story about how they overheard someone confirming the moon landing was faked … but I hope it is more than a few.
