Assuming that’s the one with the correct take: yes it does matter, him going out there and making sure his opposing opinion is know is a good thing. It doesn’t directly matter to us over here, but he has a large audience and broadly that is a good thing for us.

It’s the status quo but it should still be scrutinized and this incident wasn’t widely known before.

The policy that allows faith-based health-care providers to ban medical assistance in dying in their facilities is being tested now in B.C. Supreme Court. The plaintiffs want to see the policy struck down so patients don’t have to transfer to another facility in the final moments of their lives.

If it’s their dying wishes why make that harder for them? I suppose people will have to start considering the views of their faith in their final years.
