I think most people in the native English speaking world recognize Kirk regardless of their opinion on sci-fi.


The fact that it’s mainly just a FOSS and Politics forum.
I love what the technology is trying to do but the thing is, the platform’s main selling point being the liberatory potential of it’s technology, is that it’s mainly used by people who are interested in politics and technology.

Quebec isn’t in France but given that the only other country I hear about laws like this from is France, it’s still hard not to see it as a French culture thing (specifically a tendency to pass secularism laws that barely affect Christians but have larger implications for people of other religions.)
