I use it for work by choice, it’s fine. We can use Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Edge is basically a clone of Chrome but it integrates better with our MS account & applications and it seems to be better optimized for Windows 11.
Windows 11 is trash
On my work owned computer I use edge by choice. All the software I use for work is microslop anyway. So its more integrated and faster for that. I have a KVM and my personal laptop with Linux that I use for all personal stuff and slacking off. No personal data touches that work computer.
If I’m forced to, then it’s not my device and not my problem.
Not use the builtin password manager. https://mashable.com/article/microsoft-edge-password-manager-storing-credentials-plaintext
Ehh, if I am being forced it’s because it’s for work. So it’s only work passwords. Seems more like their problem. I would suggest or ask to change, if refused it’s on them.
Holy title gore…
Just how did you write that and not notice how badly you fucked it up?Unpopular opinion here, for sure, but I use it voluntarily for all work stuff when I’m at home. It’s not as bad as you might think. I never use it for personal stuff, for that I use librewolf and chromium when librewolf doesn’t work, like webusb. I don’t want any work/life cross contamination between cookies and history, and different browsers seems to work well enough for me.
If I were forced to use Edge, I’d fall off it
I use it at work, voluntarily. We have a choice of Chrome or Edge, and I hate Chrome more than I hate Edge. There are some built-in nice features, like workspaces and side tabs which are really convenient when you need to switch between dozens of tasks.
First mistake is using windows at all when you seem to have options.
They tried to force me to use Edge at work but I downloaded Brave browser. It lets you install it without having admin rights. It asks you for them but just say no and continue.
