Amelia Van Zanten played her first NWSL match in San Diego’s 1-0 loss to the Houston Dash, where her sister, Kalyssa Van Zanten plays. Unfortunately, they were not on the pitch at the same time, as Amelia came out in the 46’ and Kalyssa subbed on at 82’, but the two swapped jerseys on the pitch after the match.
