Trump threatened Iranian civilization as a whole. The US and it’s ally Israel have explicitly gone after Iranian civilian leadership and their families. So the Iranians have quite a ways of going before saying anything remotely similarly shocking. Both these regimes are incredible at decision making, no matter what they decide we all lose.
I wouldn’t call personal vengeance for getting half your family killed a bad decision, to be completely honest. We’ll keep eating shit because of the decisions made by both of these countries, but I’m able to say “I get it” about one of these countries’ decisions.
