Well if you feel he hasn’t done enough you should probably avoid supporting him I guess

Pretty loose definition of sexual assault you are using also

There’s also the fact that he also had to “apologize” for attempts to cover it up and make sure it didn’t go public by pressuring victims (or had his manager doing it). Only apologized after someone finally did go public with evidence.

this is 2026. nuance is gone in these times now. people are either 100% good or 100% evil.

      no in between, anymore unfortunately.

        unfortunately

Sorry, you think it’s “unfortunate” that sex pests are being called out now? This isn’t about someone being 100% good or evil at all, it’s so much simpler than that.

The sex pest was called out. He lost multiple ongoing projects and hasn’t had any notable work for literal years. He was never taken to court and has still apologized for both his behavior and directly to the women involved.

Clearly none of that is enough for most people, so what is enough do you think? Like, the man was no Weinstein; get real.

I think given the nature of the assault, he is probably alright to come back, honestly.

he’s already been called out. you’re making it sound like he raped babies or something.

people can change and rebuild their lives. and I think he’s free to do that.

you can not like it. that’s fine. just don’t watch his stuff or follow him. its not rocket surgery.

I honestly fucking hate that you’re making me look this shit up and read about it again. It’s was not just over the phone:

As soon as they sat down in his room, still wrapped in their winter jackets and hats, Louis C.K. asked if he could take out his penis, the women said.

They thought it was a joke and laughed it off. “And then he really did it,” Ms. Goodman said in an interview with The New York Times. “He proceeded to take all of his clothes off, and get completely naked, and started masturbating.”

Sounds like he asked for consent to me

There is the question of if the power dynamic made it inappropriate obviously

Definitely not sexual assault in my eyes, watching someone jack off isn’t the end of the world, there is a reason there was no charges or conviction

Alright Louis, it’s time to log off.

For real though, this is some serious psychopath logic. Consent isn’t just merely asking the question of whether you can do what you want to do without even waiting for a clear-cut response. If I ask someone if I can break their phone, they laugh because they think I’m joking, and then I go and actually do it — guess what? There was never any consent.

There also literally could not be consent due to the nature of their relationship and the massive power imbalance. But I’m not going to waste my time trying to explain that to this person.

It sounds to me like he waited for consent and this is just her words

I don’t really want to live in a world where people are punished because people change their mind later after consenting to something

So essentially you’re saying she was lying, or at least disingenuous. And that she “consented” but later changed her mind. I can’t say I’m surprised you’re of the crowd that gives the benefit of the doubt to sexual predators over victims, but it definitely doesn’t make it any less jarring to see it so blatantly.

Not calling anyone a liar but I can’t come to the same conclusion as you reading what was said

Stop trying to paint me as someone other than reasonable, I’m just not an over zealous social justice warrior

          Cool.

I hope you’re never in a position where the person with an inordinate amount of power over your career puts you into a situation like that.

Hint: There cannot be consent here due to the power imbalance.

Even if that wasn’t true, what you just described isn’t consent. I fear for every young woman that comes in contact with you.

Other female comedians have come forward and said it happened to them and it was consensual and they didn’t care

No, they can’t. It’s fucking alarming that so many people can’t seem to grasp this.

There is a reason why teachers are not allowed to have sex with their 18 year old students.

An 18 year old can consent though? Why wouldn’t they be able to have sex with their teacher?

                  Go ahead, you’re so close…
