In the episode The Deep South, Bender sings a little melody after one of the Atlanta mere people says that folks around these parts call him “the colonel”.
I wasn’t able to upload the clip to Lemmy, so here a link to it:

I’m not from the US, if that’s relevant here. Please explain the bit! :D

I would also add, probably watch alone. Not exactly a great movie to watch with family, nor for a romantic date. Could maybe crack some good dark jokes with friends if you’ve got the right kind of fucked-up buddies, but that’s about the only possible “enjoyable and not awkward shared viewing of Deliverance” I can envision.
Holy crap, what am I in for?! I did some research without reading the story and there were mentions of a controversial rape scene. Is that what this is about?
The general reference to Deliverance isn’t specifically referencing the rape scene, it’s more a general reference to hillbillies. But yeah, Deliverance is pretty fucked up, and I personally wouldn’t recommend watching it. Just listen to the song Dueling Banjos, and understand that some cool music came out of an otherwise fucked up film.
I just listened to it and wow… I’ve been playing music for two decades now, but this is some virtuoso playing :D
I felt the same way when I first listened to Tommy Emmanuel playing Classical Gas
This is crazy. Crazy good.
If you enjoy the style, also check out Trace Bundy, Calum Graham, and Antoine Dufour (in this song, he changes tuning while playing)
Thanks! I saved them for later listening. :)
