I’ll take some trolley memes, tram memes, subway memes, train memes. Whatever you got. If it’s on rails, I’ll hear it.

No, because it’s all stupid. Trolley problems are stupid. Conflating politics and voting with personal morality, is stupid.

Though both things are great for manufacturing internet engagement via the raging and shaming that comes with them, but that isn’t what I am on the internet for.

If you’re confused about the morality of voting, take a lesson from history.

Bayard Rustin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayard_Rustin was one of MLK’s top aides and instrumental ion getting the March on Washington organized.

He was gay and never once pushed to have King speak about gay rights. They knew america wasn’t ready for that discussion.

Frederick Douglas was an escaped slave who became one of the most famous people in the USA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederick_Douglass

In 1860 he had a choice. Support the Abolitionist candidate or support Abe Lincoln, who was considered the front runner. Lincoln had said that he’d let the South keep their slaves if it meant they’d stay in the Union. Douglas made the choice to back the winning candidate in hope of getting a seat at the table later, instead of backing the ‘moral’ choice.

I’m ready for all the crap flinging from people who insist everyone must support the corrupt bastards who don’t care about us instead of using violence to get shit done.

I’m ready with this tricky moral dilemma: You’re tied to your seat in a trolley bound for hell, but you can reach the brake lever. Do you try to slow down the trolley, or do you smash the mechanism so that nobody will have a hope of stopping it?

But your post will be deleted in a moment I expect.

We have elections at some level like every week.

The next federal elections are the midterms on November 3rd.
