To be fair at least both of those provide something green instead of just excess heat, waste, and bullshit. Plus it is only going to get worse as we build way more.
Plus they largely pay their own bills. We are largely paying for the ai industry to overinflate their value and line their pockets before the bag holders buy in and it crashes.
Keep in mind data center water use is set to grow geometrically over the next few years. It will soon be one of the worst offenders. The time to get it under control is now.
