Governor Spencer Cox says nuclear, geothermal, and solar power should help fuel the colossal Stratos Project.
“That’s never going to happen,” Governor Spencer Cox told The Salt Lake Tribune last week. “The very first phase will be natural gas, but the other phases should not be. They should be nuclear, and they should be geothermal, and solar and other technology.”
why read article when headline shorter hehe
whether this guy is lying and the temporary fix turns out to be permanent is another question of course
Nothing is more permanent than a “temporary fix”.
It’s only temporary, unless it works.
Every company I’ve worked at had a fully built out dev/test environment…but the best ones also had a prod environment.
“None of this liberal shit! It must run on coal and the ground up corpses of all these homeless young boys we have that we’re not going to ask questions about!”
It’s surprising that he’s actually demanding renewables, but then “The very first phase will be natural gas” is exactly what you’d say if you had no real intention of ever getting it past phase one. It could be just words, designed to break down opposition. Hopefully it isn’t.
I’m kind of curious about local opinions on whether this guy is a known liar and he’s saying what he thinks will get the controversy to blow over, or if he is legitimately working on getting alternative energy for this.
the fact that he’s like “we’ll use something else nuclear or whatever i dunno” makes me lean towards “liar,” but i know fuckall about utah politics.
