That’s what we would do normally, insert a relatively small group on the airport, take control then bring in all the other troops. But Iran isn’t stupid so they have covered the runways with shit. Dropping guys on it would be risky and it would be very hard to clear with a small force.
There is probably something I am missing but I don’t see a good way to get troops on the ground.
Yeah, it would look like that Spetsnaz drop on Kyiv’s airport.
And the “beach” in Iran mostly looks like a mountain rising from the sea, so they’ll go single file over small roads with heavy equipment while eating drones.
