Yes. I have seen this post in other communities, primarily the shitpost ones. Let me see if I can find it.

This is actually part of the issue I have with them. They never properly link back to the original post, especially with images but also with reposts of text posts.

Edit: found the exact post, it’s the same title and everything: https://sh.itjust.works/post/54438100

It’s gotten so bad that if I notice a post I’ve seen before, I check the user, and it’s one of the dozens of cm0002 alt accounts. They’re just spamming shit everywhere. Nice of them to steal content and then not tell anyone where they found it, it would be one thing if they got it off of the fediverse, but no, the majority of their posts are from original posts elsewhere on the threadiverse. They don’t even rename the titles, they’re too lazy and post too often to do so.

This was crossposted and is available in the crosspost menu of your client.

Edit: found the exact post, it’s the same title and everything: https://sh.itjust.works/post/54438100

For one, I don’t really crosspost from any other instances comms (save for the occasion where I know of a fitting small niche comm). For two, that’s on an entirely different comm on a different instance ( [email protected] vs [email protected] that this post is on.) Third, I only crosspost from .ml, so the irony here is that the OOP on .ml actually reposted it instead of crossposting lmao

I bet it’s because he and I are on piefed, so we can’t see the cross post.

Edit: nvm, just checked. The crosspost alert doesn’t appear in both Sync and Voyager even with a Lemmy account, so its just an issue with the Lemmy client not supporting it.
