Thunderstruck!

You think the Biden administration fought for it all the way to the Supreme(-ly Corrupt) Court, hoping it would be struck down? Really, you think this was the intended plan?

Anytime Biden tried to do anything good for people like cancel student loans, he’s been blocked by Republicans at every turn.

A few years ago in North York, Daliran Electric did a quick and decent job with a light fixture re-wiring that I couldn’t do-it-myself because of a junction box issue.
It doesn’t necessarily say they do communication wiring, but you can call and ask, they should be able to handle it if it’s one cable. Their rates weren’t bottom-dollar but I don’t recall them being unreasonable given they were able to call out quickly. You can ask for a quote.

Trump is living in Sloplandia with Nanny Natalie, and the AI-slop image generator is this toddler’s crib mobile to look and giggle at.

He counters by pointing to a defining moment of his piloting career after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, in which airliners were turned into missiles
So much for the American pearl-clutching suggesting that 9-11 wouldn’t be called terrorist attacks from CBC’s reporting policy.
Anyway, this guy seems to be the one who can give us more Gripens than F-35s. I think it is Carney and cabinet that are holding off, keeping the cards close because it is something valuable to pull out in response to further American economic aggression, rather than à-propos of nothing.
Thanks for the video. I was interested but yes the login page meant I couldn’t see what it was, unfortunately.
I wasn’t offended, but disappointed that I couldn’t find out what it was.
I know that a de-centralized platform is better, that’s why I’m here of course, but I do think that a Canadian hosted and controlled centralized Twitter replacement is something more palatable to many folks that “liked Twitter but hate X”. If we can get the Canadian public and officials posting to there then gradually phase out Xitter engagement then we’ll all be better for it.
Mastodon can be part of the solution too, but I refuse to hold out for “Masto or bust”. I like Mastodon as it is right now, there’s no need to force it to grow, it will on its own over time.

Over the various years growing up, I’m friendly with a lot of people, but I keep in touch with a select few from each time period, and they tend to keep me in the loop of the goings on in that circle.
And many of these good friends I am currently physically far away from, I try to make the effort to go and visit them, and invite them over if they ever consider coming to where I live.

More whinging from a government full of losers.

I don’t think anybody will actually care where in the ground he decomposes…
Trump Memorial Urinals will pop up probably in multiple locations.

Sorry I misread. I wonder is poptalk scrubbles is still active? Whatever you consider small I’m not really setting a strict standard

Many people had good suggestions

The Bank of Canada has had at least one monarch on the bill face since its formation.

I refuse to ignore you! You’re doing great, keep it up!

I mean if he really wants the credit I’ll call it “Trump’s Waterloo” for him.

That piece of information seems like key context. 1Password didn’t just give money simply because they like the product. More or less, it’s product placement in return for funding.
I’m on the fence if that’s better or worse.
Very fair, you were pretty much on the way there when you had “good first step” in your comment.
Can you at least concede that a housing-first model can turn a big homelessness crisis into a smaller one, no? Also note the Your Way Home plan is more than simply stuffing people in rooms, it starts with outreach, meeting people where they are, to determine how and when they might want to move into more stable shelter, and what their other needs are.

For sure. There’s no specific way you have to track your progress for it to count.

Apparently a new legal policy in Australia that mandates app stores there to verify age somehow to access mature content took effect (end of grace period) a couple days ago on Sep 9 2026.
