3 days agoLemmy seems to have increased in userbase a bit and many communities are less dark with sometimes infrequent but not absent posts and engagement. It’s looking good. Also we all hate Israel now. That wasn’t a thing when Lemmy started.

It’s allegory and shouldn’t be taken literally. At all. One possible interpretation is that eating the apple symbolises the birth of empathy or understanding of other consciousness, thereby giving humans both the ability to be kind and to be cruel.
Adding on to this, god asking them not to eat it was the basic human understanding of god’s cosmic warning of the responsibility and consequences of doing so. The lesson is that we can’t trust humans to make the right choice with something so profound, hence now we have nukes. And monkeys on the firing buttons.

I think you’re best off going to the womens’ community. Lemmy isn’t large enough to have that kind of niche community active. I don’t think. But your question will be well received there. I’ll try find the community
