What does showing up entail here? How many hours a week? Use the time to slowly build towards another career, something that uses both so you don’t start at square one maybe.
So her pupils are smushed together, there’s a weird color near her collar necklace along her arm in the second panel, like if it was going to be skin but was changed to be part of the sleeve last minute. The Bird has a silver piece between it’s eye but it kind of turns into a badly drawn eye in the second panel, comes back on the third but it’s off and then turns into a misplaced thicker red strip on the forth.
These are the exact types of errors that an AI would make or used to at least. Cross eyed look and parts that seem to sit in between two things like if it wasn’t certain if it should do one or the other.
I get he makes everything himself, but coupled with the style, it did really look generated the first time I saw it.
His comic is open source. Might seem like a moot point seeing as how most comics can be seen on the web for free but it lets people use it for other stuff. From what I understand, a few of his comics have been turned into short animations and things like that. Kind of cool tbh.
My point is that once you can’t tell, then you’ll go back to judging a comic how you used to (a mix of art content + message content)
Right now, you first look if it’s AI or not and toss it in the bin if it is. That’s fine but are you going to start chasing down Krita files for everything you see in a month?
We are seriously close to not being to tell if a comic is AI generated, and I’m talking about raw output from a two sentence prompt.
I thought his stuff was generated at first as well. He makes the same mistakes the AI makes.
It’s really easy to get views and users right now by getting on the AI hate bandwagon. Some are using AI to churn out anti-AI content because there is a small profit in it. To be clear, not him but others.
Not the only value, just that it’s the main one. Because we read comics to be entertained, not to marvel at someone’s drawing talent. If comics were only about art quality, then we wouldn’t have stick figure and paint drawings getting upvotes either.
Like I said, having something hand drawn well is always a huge positive, but it doesn’t make up for trite low denominator content.
Good content + art > good content + AI > bad content + art
Going Art > AI no matter what just means you have little perspective and live your life through knee jerk reactions.
If you go just by content, his comics suck, deal with it.
It’s crazy to imagine someone judging something on the value and enjoyment it brings them.
Currently, the ToS doesn’t really matter, it just let’s them ban you which doesn’t really impact most competent scrapers.
