I wanted to get one of these for a server…
Ended up getting an N100 Chinese mini PC with 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, just ready to go… it consumes…3.6W - 4.1W on idle running Ubuntu Server. I’m 100% satisfied.
Still I had to pay like 260€ these mini PC were a lot cheaper before.
Man I live in Fuerteventura. Here we use sunglasses to protect our eyes, not just while driving, but also walking. The sun is quite strong on them.
I wouldn’t call all sunglasses “pervert glasses”.
The main usage is still to reduce light. And if polarized, to reduce reflections (which also helps in some car windshields).
They are tools to protect our eyes and improve our vision under harsh circumstances. Before anything else.
In my phone (Google pixel) I mainly use Firefox for browsing. While Chrome is still the default browser. At some point I’ll change default also to Firefox. I didn’t do this because I’m not logged into some apps there.
The overall battery life is pretty good. But the standby (when screen is off) is still taking like 1% per hour right?
I did 59.1% / 53,5~ hours.
I’m more a fan of 1% every 3 hours. Not 1% per hour. If Google managed to do something in the OS to guarantee that it would be amazing. (Note: always considering power hungry stuff like AOD off).
Also, I recommend checking this from 100% and only after reaching 1%. I’ve recently seen my Pixel 5 draining 1% overnight (like going from 40% to 39% in 7 hours), and that’s a lie in my experience it never does this little. I stopped paying attention to overnight standby drain after seeing this. So to be more accurate it is better to account for the full cycle (99%+ usage).
I just buy previous gen Google Pixel. And only if I need a phone… I got a Pixel 9 brand new in December 2025 for 441€ including fast charger (as a gift). Sold by Amazon.es
