Someone replied to a post about the movie with some old nudes of the first lady of the United States and I replied with a picture of Kevin McCallister looking at the picture of his brother’s girlfriend in Home Alone(it was in reality the son of the art designer made up to look like an awkward teen girl for a joke in a movie made for children).

I forgot about my reply and saw it weeks later going through my post history looking for something else. It cracked me up seeing the setup after wondering why I posted that reaction image.

I didn’t get dogpiled like I would have expected on reddit for some micro aggression. I am not in favor of body shaming because it leads to insecurity for bystanders. I don’t want to encourage a culture of insipid potshots taken at people for their appearance. In this case, though, the shame is far, far, deeper than the appearance of someone’s body. Other times the shame is probably an inch deep inside her.

I’m not really into guns but the gun collection they have there is cooler than any other gun collection in the world. One gun is a prosthetic leg.

Train-O-Rama in Ohio has been permanently closed for a for a while now but I’m glad to have gone. It was a building full of model train sets. It felt like it existed more for the love of the game than to make money.

Its quite amazing that hebrew is a language that can’t be translated by machine due to its phonetic nature. They future proofed the language at conception well before computers existed.

I don’t really drink much but befriending a local bartender has made me much more social than I am on my own. I moved to this town without knowing anyone. My bartender friend grew up here and knows damn near everyone in town. I am now on friendly terms with a lot of people around town. I might not remember all of their names but a friendly face is a friendly face.

I find breaking the ice to be difficult but feel much less iced out with a friend who is warm with everyone.

I should add that I became a regular at his bar for the most antisocial reason to be honest. I worked second shift and lived alone at the time. I would stop by after work about an hour(sometimes less) before closing to get food if the kitchen was open. I went there for food more than drinks but food didn’t always work out. I did this on Mondays because I figured Monday was the least busy day a bar would have. At that hour it was usually pretty quiet. Over time we became friends because he’s a friendly guy.

Front yard is optional dirt patch is not. You gotta buy yourself a bike and a few cinderblocks but the piano bench should show up on garbage day on a curb somewhere eventually. Just keep an eye out and you’ll see one sooner than you’d think.

It doesn’t sound like the case here but I will briefly turn my hazard lights on for a few blinks if there is a hazard ahead on the road. I keep moving but my intention is to warn drivers behind me that there’s shit going on down the road where they might not see it and have time to slow down.
