3 days agoI have the opposite: at work, I found a Sony Memory Stick to Floppy Disk adapter (with CD driver disk). Yes, you plug a Memory Stick into a dummy floppy disk, then insert it into a 3.5” drive to transfer files to/from your peripherals. If literally anyone pings me tomorrow I will post the most cursed 2002 shit I’ve ever seen.
I’m not sure what standard of Memory Stick it supports up to, but definitely not in the TB range*… though now I’m wondering if I could get a Memory Stick and floppy drive expensed… Would love to see a multiple week file transfer estimate lol.
The oldest computer I think I have access to, though is an iMac G4, so if it won’t accept the driver disc and a modern floppy drive, we’d be out of luck.
*unless there’s some ridiculously unholy Memory Stick to SDXC adapter I’m blissfully unaware of…
