Weve had a similar setup for nearly 10 years and its fricken great. We built a low spec computer using old parts from our desktops, hooked it up to our tv via hdmi, and plugged in a wireless keyboard with built in trackpad to act as the remote. We get all the same AD blocking and content access as a desktop because, you know, its a desktop but in the livingroom. My personal favorite is using a second account on discord to pull up streams on the tv from the couch while joining on my phone via my primary account for voice.

Someone gifted me a bonsai kit off amazon that i cant use because every single seed packet is an invasive plant in my area. Unless the person who gifted it to me looked up every plant type, which is a big ask for them ability-wise, there was no way for them to have known from the product listing.

I have a love hate relationship with my husbands car because of this type of “feature”. Love that its a 2012 with no online connectivity or tablet displays of any kind. Hate that i, as the passenger, cant connect a device via bluetooth or change other media related settings if its in drive, only while its in park. Youd think that “feature” would disable when it detects a passenger, but no, i guess the passenger is driving just as much as the driver themselves.

+1 for kagi, personally. Ive been using them for nearly 3 years and have never had a single complaint, and i literally complain about everything. Well…their maps requiring webgl is annoying…but at the same time its not loaded with nonsensical markers to the point of being unreadable.

They 100% didnt in my case. The company wasnt very large and for some reason liked to include the founding/owners family history as part of on-board training. They were just a drunk college kid upset we wouldnt serve them pizza after closing hours.

Yes, they claimed their cousin owned the store. The store ower was in their 60s and lived across the country. They, on the other hand, was a pissed off, drunk, early 20s college student at a closed pizza shop at 4am. No, your cousin is not the store owner.

Results are okay, better than google by far. I found i have to block sites frequently to keep things relevant, but im no longer starting each search with an angry crash out dealing with the site and crappy results like i was with google/duckduck.
The date filter is also nice for finding recipes published before 2020.
Right? Im part of the youngest millennials and i turn 30 in a few months. Its been a fucking wild experience being stuck between two generations.
Edit: i guess someone disagrees with my self-declared millennial status, lol.
You can see his fingernails too, but hes wearing gloves.
He also has fingernails on his gloves.

Tissues. Such a small thing in the house, but a world of difference on the nose compared to toilet paper or other options. When money is tight tissues, amongst other things, are one of the first to be cut from spending.
Edit: I missed the “gentle” part of the ask. My bad.

This meme remix of a forum post asking for help identifying a song is just fun and annoying
Any of the “toad sings” are also fun ones.
