2·1 month agoNot sure. These are the only type of its kind. It has capabilities other jets don’t have and they work together with other F35s and defense systems.

22·1 month agoI know this US ambassador is an a-hole, and he tends to shoot his mouth like Trump. However. After reading the article, it isn’t as bad as the headline implies. Sending their jets isn’t as a threat, but what the ambassador is saying is that more F-35s are needed to fill in whatever security roles it plays in their defensive strategy if Canada buys something else. In the event of some other jets we’re using, they would have to alter NORAD in order to allow more US F-35 jets to patrol the skies over Canada.

0·1 year agoIt is painfully obvious that our close economic relationship with the US is a blessing and a curse. There has always been a need for us to diversify our TRADE and yet every level of government has not tried hard enough to do just that. We need to strengthen economic ties with South America and Europe. Example: why aren’t we jumping to build LNG terminals in Eastern Canada so we can ship our gas to Europe? Import more vegetables from Mexico and central america. We have a direct rail link for cheap transport!

It absolutely is. Time to put them on trial!
