As a modern car hater, interiors are the one thing that have gotten significantly better as long as you exclude replacing physical buttons with touch screens. All the touch points in modern cars feel so much nicer and more premium than a car 20 years ago. Take a look through Google images of economy car interiors from the 2000s and the amount of gray plastic is shocking. My 1992 Jaguar has a debatebly worse interior than a modern Kia.
I feel like that’s a pretty common opinion, I’ve never heard of anyone railing against motorsports not being a sport.

Fun as it may be to shoot them out of the sky, that’s not super feasible in urban or suburban areas. Don’t want to risk the possibility of the bullet hitting someone on the way down and the neighbors probably wouldn’t appreciate the gunshots

Their opinion is not overriding your own or anyone else’s. They dont mind the fireworks and you do, why make it out like they’re trying to silence you?
Sure you can believe that as much as you want but it doesn’t change that fact that some percentage of people are still going to drive entirely too fast, not to mention the much larger number of people who will drive a little over the limit. Study after study has shown the best way to move people going different speeds is to pass in the left lane and use the other lanes to go progressively slower as you move left. If you don’t think people should speed that’s fair and I agree, but that doesn’t change the fact that people will do it anyway.
That wasn’t common but it definitely has happened in the past
