In general we don’t have that long penalties for crimes in Norway. He’s not getting special treatment. Longest sentence is 21 years. For extremely horrendous crimes you can be kept potentially indefinitely. Anders Breivik famously only got 21 years for murdering 77 people, most of them kids. He will never be released, but the court has to formally decide every now and then that he is to dangerous to be released.

Anyone care to explain? So with the citizenship law currently in place, you get Italian citizenship if any of your parents have it. But does that mean your kids will also get it since you have it? When does it stop? Seems like the nr of Italians abroad will balloon in a few generations if that’s the case. No wonder they want to change it
