If that were the case i doubt they’d have banned her. I think its more so we blocked them when we noticed bad behavior and under existing laws, thats enough due diligence.

I dont give a fuck where the trains or their parts come from at this point tbh we just need to build rails and put trains on them. It would be nice if we could domestically supply them but we can also more easily build and invest in that in the future if we have more rail routes being made today.

The broadness and extreme level of tariffs are the bigger issue than tariffs exisiting. Canada has various tariffs in place to help protect certain industries. I also think people’s dissatisfaction runs deeper than the tariffs when it comes to Trump.

The US is far more likely to be involved in starting WW3 than russia’s part in it. The US also probably thinks its the only way to “be great again” by having another post war economic miracle.

These details don’t clear much up about the firearms used. My theory is they were all owned by the mother. She either aquired more since the guns were returned or the police never got all the guns the first time they were siezed, very possible given there is no real registry and the soft registries are incomplete. The investigation is on going of course but I wouldn’t be surprised if police keep these details muddy to prevent more questions about the confiscations and subsequent return of firearms.

He is a back bencher who wants to be the conservative leader 51st state governor.

I think pushing kids straight outta high school into college is a mistake. Some may be ready for it but many would benefit from experiencing the world a bit, putting some money behind them, maturing at little bit.
I took college in my mid 20s and by then i was able to balance a social life and school life very well. Had I gone earlier I may have either burnt out or been distracted by parties and more social aspects of college.

I view it similar to rebates and tax breaks. Like nudging people towards EVs with rebates or relieving the cost of having kids by offering tax breaks. The government sees the shift they want (electrification, increased birth rate) and the people have financial or other incentives to make those choices.

I’m no fan of ford but i don’t mind OSAP being prioritized for genuine in demand nation building career opportunities. Programs to get people into electrical engineering or other careers that will support our future could be beneficial. I doubt thats actually how this will all go down but as a concept prioritizing certain degrees over others with public funding isn’t the worst thing, especially if it can help build a stronger economy to open funding for more variety of programs later down the line.

Its seriously concerning how many people think just banning trans people will fix situations like this.

It looks like hes either trying to nudge it over a touch or a put a bit of spin on it. He wouldn’t risk cheating at the Olympics with a method that has zero effect.
But isn’t that evil authoritarian communism? /s

It seems some members of that community may have contributed to this tragedy due to their treatment of the shooter, hopefully they reflect on those factors as well.

Yet all the conservatives i speak to propsoe banning being trans to fix this, when in reality we need more support to prevent a similar tragedy.

Trump didn’t realize how far greenland was and the nuke fell a few 100 kms short.

We’ve killed off vast amounts of natural predators. Hunting is regulated and often an important part of population control for the hunted animal. It also isn’t just about harvesting the meat, for many it is a deeply rooted cultural tradition.

The money being spent on the ban could be used much more effectively to reduce crime by investing it elsewhere such as mental health services. Many local police forces have refused to participate (its optional for them) citing their resources are better spent elsewhere which will push the costs onto the RCMP.

Just seems odd to even mention they discussed it. Its comes off as either ford bragging about a power grab or carney considering an election.
Always has been. Since its inception Canada has been a natural resource based economy.
