Could it be that the Russian in question didn’t want to kill puppies and there was some hierarchy effectively forcing them? Just a thought. Am Ukrainian btw.

EDIT: someone else pointed out the possibility that it’s the drone operator’s personal “negligence”

EDIT EDIT: ai drones, still fault of the govt

Then all Americans are guilty for executing 200 little girls at school during peace negotiations.

No, the West is superior. We believe in individual freedoms for ourselves.

It’s only those Others who are collectively responsible for the atrocities committed by their governments.

If those girls didn’t want to experience a double tap strike, why did they go to a school in Iran? Why did the rescue workers try to block the double tap strike with their bodies? Clearly they were asking for it!

Yes I would limit it to adults on both sides, to be fair, but yes. All Americans did have a hand in supporting the system that did that. I’m an American, fwiw.

That’s such a needlessly provocative statement.

Dafuq are they supposed to do against a murderous, authoritarian, supremacist government?

Some random Russian gaylord or trans lady, already brutally oppressed by their own government, is technically responsible for killing a Canadian aid worker?

I understand being angry about it but how tf is blanket Rusophobia okay?

Would you also claim every single Israeli is responsible for genocide? Even though so many Israelis are vocally against it and are targeted by zionists for being against their government’s policies?

Do you also believe every single Christian in the world is responsible for the actions of bigoted christian nationalists in USA?

        Give your head a shake.

Germans bare the responsibility and shame of Nazi Germany, whether they participated in the gassing of jews or whether they sat on the side lines and pretended everything was normal while the country went nuts. We don’t excuse the actions of Nazi Germany by saying “Not all of them voted for Hitler, he came to power with a minority government, most were good people! No fault!”. Doesn’t matter that they were living under a fascist government.

We (western democracies in general) have applauded people who took active measures against the Nazi government – people who hid / saved the lives of persecuted groups, people who subverted / killed fascist agents, etc. There are stories of escort girls, who killed off Nazi soldiers – we don’t stop and say “Wait! Those soldiers she killed were forced into it by a bad economy, and they just worked back-office jobs, they were innocent!”. Instead, we say “Good work, lady”. We curate museum installations celebrating in her honor.

Germans who fled Nazi rule in Germany were explicit and generally very vocal in their criticism of the regime. Not apologetic about it. They didn’t want anything to do with that stuff – many effectively severing their roots. So, like, if a Jewish person/group in Canada wants to be thought of as not being part of the genocide, they need to come out very clearly, publicly, opposed to the Israeli Zionist movement – Avis Lewis (NDP leader) makes that sort of thing known, for example, so he’s got some moral backbone at least. Most Canadian Jewish organisations / temples / etc still generally seem ‘ok’ with genocide. When most of a group/nation supports an extremist agenda, and/or allows it to carry-on through apathy, it’s fair for people outside that group to generalize / assume that any ‘unknown’ member of that group is likely someone that’s either supporting or enabling that atrocity.

          Same vibe.

Our government literally applaud an actual nazi in our parliament. Our foreign minister wore the colours of neonazis in solidarity. Our elected officials, like freeland and justin, along with media constantly gaslight us about azov nazis and neonazis in Ukraine. Pretending it’s all only Russian propaganda when its not.

My government in Canada taught us “Never Again” while they participated in murdering millions in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia and other places. They also imported and helped nazis settle in Canada after WWII. My current Prime Minister was very supportive and excited about the current zionist invasion and war on Iran. We helped destabilize and overthrow the government in Haiti and other countries.

My previous Prime Minister funded and supported the genocide in Gaza. He clearly believes “Never Again” only applies to Jewish folks. Current one clearly agrees with that as well.

Who tf told you we’re the default “good guys” and have the moral authority to pass judgement on all Russians for the actions of their oligarchs and dictator? Get your head out your backside and hop off that high horse, western chauvinist. There are tons of Russians who dared to stand up against their government. Many of them now dead. While our politicians still not dare put an end to arming the genocidal maniacs in West Asia with Canadian weapons.

Is Avi Lewis supporting the genocide? Fk no. But he’s not even an elected official in the parliament yet. Those with actual power aren’t even willing to call it a genocide… apply the same standard to Russians. Apply the same scrutiny to Ukrainian neonazis as well.

Our government has things to answer for, sure. But to equate issues in Canada to issues elsewhere is not that convincing an argument, in general. I mean, your very first example of the guy getting applauded – a ridiculous example, and that’s what you lead with, your strongest point? A guy gets introduced as a WWII vet, is a geriatric ancient husk of a person, and people applaud assuming that what’s meant is he’s a vet from the allied side. Then when they find out he was on the Nazi side, there’s universal condemnation for the event and the people who failed to do their due diligence. You attempt to frame it as though Canada is knowingly inviting and celebrating a nazi, which is just patently absurd and childish – and sets the tone for the rest of your screed.

                Spoken like a western chauvinist.

That husk of a person is a nazi and he’s proud of it to this day.

I love how you don’t even try to tackle our involvement in liquidating millions of innocent lives across the globe. Just making excuses for a fkn nazi.

Yawn. It’s not that interesting to discuss things with you. Your word choice and verbiage make it pretty clear you have no interest in an open dialogue, and would rather just vent your teenage angst or whatever.

The other examples you gave were even less convincing / interesting than that first one – sorry that I destroyed your first point, and then stopped bothering to go through the rest. I get how that can feel really frustrating, seeing someone ignore most of your rant because you started off with total nonsense bullshit, but hey, maybe one day you’ll be able to put your thoughts down in a coherent, convincing fashion, and people won’t be so quick to dismiss your viewpoint as the ranting of a child. Keep at it!

They acted like orcs on day one, they’re still acting like fucking orcs on day 1,711 of the “3 day Special Military Operation”. Disgusting, low-life warfare, with absolutely nothing off limits. An uncivilised, amoral, cowardly embarrassment of a military force.

I wonder if .ml will show up and try and defend Russia on this one like they usually do…

Imagine being such a worthless loser that you used one of the most high performance vehicles on earth to rocket up into the sky, hurl a massive bomb into the sky and kill a man 10s of kilometers away who was trying to save some puppies.

Does that pilot walk away from the hangar after that mission feeling like some kind of badass? I can’t think of a more pathetic human endeavor on earth. This is a poem that should have never been made tragically real.
