I recently bought a secondhand full frame camera and already find 24 megapixel RAW files to be too big to save—I do so reluctantly but will have to purge soon. 32.5 MP would be my limit, just for a little extra edge in cropping without losing detail.

This phone is utter nonsense to me. Even if I got it for free I’d immediately sell it. Moreover, I hate that phones restrict all flexibility in movement when crammed in the pants pocket.

Understandable if you anyone would never subscribe to amazon prime, but with prime they give free photo storage which includes RAW photos. I backup RAW’s there

Until they stop offering it for free, after making you get dependent on their service. The Google Photos playbook.

Sure but that applies to every cloud storage service and I’ve migrated before and have been using Amazon photos for RAW storage for years. It’s saved me a good amount of money compared to any other service. Me using it all these years has been worth it regardless of it possibly becoming a terrible service in the future
