    A lawyer who makes public comments like this is trying to farm outrage to intimidate influence the judge. He’s also the defense lawyer, so unless he’s monumentally stupid, he won’t ever agree to fault on their part until at least the case has been judged.

    The fuckers who did this are horrible, and I hope they get what they deserve, but a lawyer making public comments to victim-blame is both a nothingburger and a patent demonstration of why the “lawyers are slimy” trope is still alive and well.

    Don’t fall for the ragebait.
