The Settler Movement is all of these things. But religion is as often a source of opposition as support. The earliest abolitionists were devote Quakers. The earliest anti-war activists were Catholics. The earliest socialists and Communists were Jews.
Nothing about American religion pre-supposes public policy. More often than not, it is the policy that shapes the religion.
The Bible and Jesus have some good lessons in it (some archaic lessons too)
