To be clear, it’s not librarians doing this. It’s administration.
Salt Lake City and Boise both made the pride flag the official city flag during pride month to get around new state restrictions on flying it.
Don’t let where it appears on the the map fool you, Missouri is in the Deep South.
“Yes, we had slaves, but they were the happiest slaves ever”
“We even named our state after their experience here!”
The bible is fucking everywhere why does it need to be in a library in the first place?
Oh I’ve read it btw it sucks
If one actually reads and understands the bible, one will literally become anti-christianity.
You are supposed to believe on faith, because if you look at the evidence God is a dickcunt.
Or a cuntdick, depending on mood.
Idk, that scene where the two Lannister girls get their dad drunk to do sex with him caught my attention as a kid.
I’m certain Lot lied or this was rewritten in a more favourable light to him. This was a man who tooks his two daughters to live with him, alone on a remote mountain, and returns with them both pregnant.
All over the world and throughout history, men do this shit to their daughters and it’s practically unheard of the other way around.
I do not believe for a second Lot’s daughters came on to him and raped him.
Some kids, the only sex ed they get is reading Song of Solomon while rubbing one out.
Ironically, that was actually its original purpose.
missouri will make an exception for the bible.
Missouri is such a shithole where they’ll demand you study religion but not Buddhist, Islam, wicca, spaghetti monster, jedi, gun, etc.
Christianity is the most destructive force on the planet. Every war ever fought has been under the banner of Christianity.
You might wish to go google some guy by the name of Ashoka.
Just as an example. Before he was an emperor spreading the teachings of Buddhism, he was a warlord kicking the shit out of his neighbors.
That’s just one of uninstall examples. Most the wars of Rome prior to ~300 were also not about Christianity. All of the Greek city states, too. The Assyrian wars. Babylonian, Persian.
All of these were empires that predated Christianity… some by thousands of years.
As much as Christianity sucks, you’re very wrong about your statement.
Every war ever fought has been under the banner of Christianity.
This may be the stupidest thing I have read all week. Or are all of the BC wars just sparkling conflict?
Look, all those wars before Christianity existed were just skirmishes ok.
According to the Encyclopedia of Wars, out of all 1,763 recorded historical conflicts, 121, or 6.87%, had religion as their primary cause.
Well, obviously they didn’t mean literally every war.
What they meant to say was that every war ever fought under the banner of Christianity was fought under the banner of Christianity.
Are you on crack? Look, you don’t need to like Christian beliefs but this is a load of old cobblers.
Weaponizing religion is the root of the issue. Not any specific religion. Just the ones that demand obedience to the few who say “God told me that I’m in charge and speak for God”.
