Presumably you live somewhere, and home invasions are on the rise, and it’s not just about “defending” your property, it’s about losing your sense of safety in your home because defending yourself will land you in court (as they say, “charge them all and let the courts figure it out”) where you have to defend yourself once again (unless it gets thrown out before trial).
