    what kind of annoys me is that linux phones didn’t start out with just making android virtualization/emulation as fast as physically possible. That way we could actually have genuinely functional linux phones now and the hardware wouldn’t matter much at all!

    Like i don’t need every single piece of software to be reimplemented natively, that’s a great goal for the future but i just want a phone that doesn’t feel like a ticking bomb…

      Genuinely. I don’t understand how this wasn’t a thing already. But Valve working on Lepton hopefully accomplishes this goal!

        if valve manages to not only normalize linux gaming but also make usable linux phones, that might actually make up for them inventing lootboxes and leaving TF2 to languish.

        one day i will afford all their devices, put them in a single room filled with copper pipes, and call it my steampunk shrine. After that of course comes the surgical installation of a red valve on the back of my head.
