What’s your honest advice for a young person struggling with rent, money, and finding a job, still relying on parents financially right now?

Yea the caveat is you have to enjoy being around your parents and can live with their rules.
I agree with you, some of the most fun I’ve had in my life was living with a bunch of roommates in college. There was always something interesting going on and it made our rent comically cheap.
