    Obviously it’s a legal requirement but I’m 99% sure it was also on the TRC. Like, even if you were to obtain the proper license to these symbols from Microsoft, Sony wouldn’t allow you to use them on their systems.

    IIRC Xbox were way less anal about this too.

      That’s still a legal requirement, not a technical one. A legal requirement that is exactly in the middle of the trademark couch and in no way whatsoever a technicality.

        True but it’s one that’s usually handled and checked by technical people. Which is probably why they put it in the technical requirements checklist, now that you’re saying it.

          Nah. Technical people are not responsible for a corporation’s legal requirements (unless they’re lawyers on the payroll of course), unless the company is ran by morons … which is likely, in your defense.
