I know they don’t in terms of real cards, but these aren’t real cards. Why do you think the artist chose to give both cards the same last four digits?
(Actually, having had several issues of replacement debit cards for the same bank account over the years, it seems that, at least for that one account, the last four digits have increased by an unpredictable amount for each issue while the others have stayed the same, so there is some meaning, albeit not very useful. Also the CVV is completely random each time, so correctly predicting the next four digit ending won’t do anyone any good.)

Maybe because they are a match (soulmates) that’s why they have the same last digits?
