The Lebanese paramilitary group Hezbollah has reported on the results of multiple ambushes launched against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, with 21 Israeli Merkava main battle tanks reported on March 26 to have been destroyed within a 24 hour period.
Did a quick search and two different sources say they have about 1300 tanks, with 1000ish ready, as of January. So this took out about 2% of their tank fleet.
What the IDF cannot tolerate for long is a high casualty rate. The country’s population is too small, and unlike the Lebanese, the Israelis are fighting a war of choice.
