Just do what Xi did. Make a non-binding agreement that you might possibly buy a bunch of stuff in the future with absolutely no intention of ever actually following through.

I can’t wait to see how he spins the outcome of his boondoggle, and more so how his base contorts themselves to call this a decisive victory.
They should give him some prize - get a toy ring or something, spray paint it in gold and present it to him.
