The house cat (made famous by this meme) sometimes lies on their back stretched out with their feet in the air and looks at me. Like most humans, it took me a while to figure out what the cat intended. In this case, what they intended was for me to lie down on the floor near them - just barely in arms reach but I MUST NOT reach out to pet them - and stretch along with them. Cat was visibly pleased when I figured it out. So now I just occasionally stretch on the floor with the house cat. It’s surprisingly relaxing.
