      From a certain point of view, perhaps…

      They don’t not run Linux, with a little help. And the setup process will probably be as long as booting into Windows for the first time anyway.

          If the devices run Linux competently, they might be worth the price, with or without that extra Windows tax. At least compared to MacOS hardware, or even similarly decked out Windows-free boutique alternatives from places like System76.
