I dislike the attention stuff like this draws to piracy. I do quite like clowning on games that do this stupid early/late release to ruin the old-school launch day fun and make some kids aware that their parents are brokebois. These new business models just bring out the worst.
This game is releasing with a price of $70. For a Lego game. Am I wrong to think that’s about double of what it should be? In three months I’m sure it’ll be $5 but still.
I have a big soft spot for these LEGO games, and I might own all of them. Have never / would never pay $70 for one.
I saw Giant Bomb’s quick look and I lost interest.
I thought it was going to be more of Arkham Asylum but instead it is another Lego game.
Glad they included all these Batman references from years past.
An arkham game with lego aesthetics would be sick.
It’s got Arkham combat. Maybe a little simplified, but it’s there.
That’s a fourth one this year
I think there used to be a stigma on leaking unreleased games because of the increased chance of drawing a corporations litigious attention. But I also think there has been a shift recently in public perception of these corporations leading to a more aggressive fuck you attitude and apathy regarding repercussions. Which I’m all for. I hope corporations like WB/discovery, EA, and Ubisoft never see a profit from a video game again.
