not really. Us turks are less about traveling somewhere to get a deal on surgery than getting a bud to staple a wig on our head.

EDIT : Or desperately combing our interpersonal network to find someone that can get us a deal or some kind of preferential treatment (torpil, I see my fellow turks in here)

it’s cheap for europeans to go to turkey to get this largely reliable and safe procedure done. Us being turks, have set up travel businesses to take advantage of this. Also, many europeans have large communities of turkish expats understand the local business systems, and have connections in turkey to set this up, so they have done so.

Fun things for people that don’t know : Turks are fucking everywhere. And Turks love setting up businesses and selling shit. And we have a lucrative modern history of tourism for europeans. Also, the turkish economy is in shambles.

all of these combined lead to a lot of europeans traveling to turkey and getting hair plugs.

NB : I do not endorse traveling for medical treatment. I think I would advise against it actually, since flying after medical procedures is a bad idea, and you want to be in your home country if things go wrong.

That being said, some actually necessary medical procedures might need to be done abroad in case that capability is not in your home country.
