If full time Walmart employees need government assistance programs to afford food and pay their rent, is it not Walmart who is leaning on government assistance?

Ideology of a rapist in everything he does.
It seems like an exhaustingly complex set of boundaries to keep and tends to create winners and losers out of third parties if the boundaries are rigidly followed in most cases. I think being that secure is somewhat admirable, but it also seems like a devastating fall to make if things don’t work out. Different folks have different ways of doing things, I think it’s fine, just not for me personally and I definitely wouldn’t want to be the 3rd party to it either.

You don’t seem to get that activists are usually a small portion of any population with a strong opinion. To put this another way, NYC has a very high jewish population and among them, Zohran, a mayor who has not been shy about what he thinks about Israeli war crimes, is more popular than Netanyahu, while you’re callously inferring dual loyalty. This trope is antisemitic and, while it has been used against other groups like Catholics as well, it is predominantly levied at Jews by far right racists and zionists who fantasize about coopting the entirity of a victimized minority, which they have not done and never will. By repeating them you’re playing their game and helping zionists. Zionists love antijewish racism because it fuels their tropes as cry bullies, so do better if you really hold the views you’re concern trolling over. Also fwiw, in the US most zionists are evangelicals. Maybe your Israeli company wasn’t the best tuning adjustment for how people outside the fascist bubble feel.

Jewish voices for peace… like the most famous activist group fighting against the war.

The traditional pov for blowback being a good thing is that it suppresses the populations thirst for more violence and forces some humanity into them. In this case I don’t know if humanity can be reintroduced through such subtle means as having to buy bottled water. The other element is that Israel is a big bully beating up on a largely defenseless party. Anything that comes back to the bully will be returned 10 fold in violence unless others step in.
Switch to his controller and swap yours to CPU obviously

The person allowed to survive. In other words, the same approach whether Vlad wants to retire or not. The best thing that could theoretically happen to Russia is that some absolute buffoon with Vladimir’s endorsement is propped up and it causes a civil war between the mercenaries and the army.
Very cool effect. 7 year old me would take a bite

You also dgaf about the community rules of world politics
Just FYI, lemmy.world coms are 18+ only. This isn’t going to hit too well, and also you are likely violating that rule.

Rule 1 part b.

They had a failed attempt to pressure congress which generates 600 dollar checks. Then 1400 was later added to that to “complete” the promise, so while 2600 is better than 2000, it wasn’t scummy except to the extent that the Republicans in congress immediately turned on the American people once it was politically advantageous not to deliver.
100% isn’t my standard, but I think saying “elect my guys and get money” when the intention is to actually do it when he has power to (and he did) rather than Trump saying it when he absolutely can do it right now with full control of all branches of government. In other words, “do this so we want to help you.” Vs “do this so we can help you” very different.

The source for the claim of booksales in the original article are the same sources who can’t be trusted in mine, so it’s a fair bet that influence peddling at the very least played a part. NYT wheels and deals off popular people who are authors, always has.

I’ve told users to junk everything to our proofpoint vendor, it’s not worth getting struck with a clever unsubscribe link. I think it would be a good cybersecurity test email to see how many people click it, I’d wager it’s more effective than some of the piss poor phishing attempts we get, and we’re pretty heavily targeted.
Gmail has an auto unsub feature, as do a lot of providers now. It effectively does the unsub for you if it complies to standards and then blocks the email and reports it to can-spam if it continues.

It’s a pretty commonly utilized tactic that’s especially employed by grifters who want to lend credence to the grift and political operatives who want to… lend credence to their grift. Occasionally though by people who want to gain notoriety in a field they’re new in, keep up a streak of success if they’re not sure about the book’s quality, or do a book tour and have something to sell the talkshows. In all cases it’s employed by people with more money than talent.
A source among many about NYT influence peddling: https://londondaily.com/evtepe-new-york-times-bestseller-list-exposed-fake-editorial-manipulation-not-sales-based-rankings
This other source is more specific to what the other commenter was referring to though: https://factually.co/fact-checks/politics/politicians-political-groups-buying-bulk-books-reports-2f81ef

I don’t think you read your own article. Joe was already picked and he was referring to the runoffs. The actual situation was that Trump was promising the checks and then when he lost the Republicans blocked the funds for it as punishment for not electing him again. Biden supporting them and needed a majority to overcome the block. The first part of the checks was released under Trump still in December, but no more disbursement was being allowed by congress.

Your suposition is that the power of the purse still applies here. Trump has operated the executive as a collective slush fund, many times using horrible arguments that fail in court and then proceeding anyways. Also he’s allocated money from military coup projects like Venezuala to funds not under congressional control illegally.
Bernies plan is to first expand Medicare to all ages. Going off Trump’s logic this would be done by directing CMS by executive order to adjust the rates, the treasury department to allocate the necessary trust fund expenditures, the IRS to apply the necessary taxes, and the justice department to aggressively target every single possible violation in the private health insurance industry. Bernie’s actual plan is to use the bully pulpit as intended to pressure congress to act in accordance with those changes ahead of time, completely different. That’s because Trump moves to erode government into the pockets of the rich and Bernie seeks to build it stronger to benefit everyone. Executive overreach expansion has only been applied to benefit the rich effectively where everywhere else it had failed.

Paying money doesn’t mean you get to harass other students who also paid money… Maybe that’s your first lesson.
Usually typos are the result of multiple people having their own template form that only gets sent to their initializing accounts. It’s not an unforgivable one though if it gets the point across (it does). They probably don’t get many replies on that one since not agreeing to T9 is reason for removal from most roles including publicly funded college students.
